Beginners German (Discussion)

Sofia saidThu, 13 Mar 2008 01:59:42 -0000 ( Link )

I did study German in school but that was some time ago. I am not sure if this group is at this low (?) level.

My aim to brush up on my German and hopefully being able to understand it better again.

I took a beginner’s course in conversational German at the German embassy in Tel Aviv a long time ago. I have always wanted to learn the language. It may be a coincidence, but both my maiden and married names are German in origin. I understand a bit of German, but my aim is to be able to speak German.

I am a beginner as well, I studied German a few years ago, as well as attended a study abroad semester in Germany a few years ago. I would like to be able to speak German more fluently.

Hi you all, well, there are many ways to learn german as a true beginner. One of the methods that work to learn it quite fast is to study the grammar part on your own, to get behind the theory and then start as soon as possible to talk to a native speaker. With the internet, no problem today. There are free language exchange communities to start with or, if you want a more professional approach, you can take private or group lessons online.
